“There are only four questions of value in life. What is sacred? Of what is the spirit made? What is worth living for, and what is worth dying for? The answer to each is the same: only love.”
Don Juan DeMarco
Could it be that something so simply, straight-forward is the answer to all of the complicated rubbish that goes on in our minds, lives and worlds? I also think that it is a cause of many of the problems in the first place: a vicious little circle if it is not handled with care and mindfulness. At the end of the day and at the bottom of everything, all anybody wants is love and to be loved. It is an emotion which overrides everything: it has been discussed by philosophers and thinkers; it is felt by a new born baby and equally beyond death; it brings people together for life; it often asks for nothing and it can take nothing. If it is so simple, then this should be the answer, the overruling law, philosophy, mantra or religion, don’t you think?
