17th June 2012 – Father’s Day

“I’d play a song that would never ever end, how I’d love, love, love to dance with my father again”

Luther Vandross, Dance with my Father

Today is Father’s day and I thought I would pick out a fitting quote for the occasion. Now, this song is extremely sad (it is one of the few songs that can make me cry), but it is so beautiful and reminds me of my dad, regardless. So I am going to interpret the lyrics more personally, in a different way. My dad likes to indulge in a dance every now and then with my sisters and I. And I think that even though we’re getting too big to be picked up by him, we’ll continue dancing for a while to come. Ahh fond memories 🙂

Happy Father’s day, to mine and yours.
